Dr. Ally Downs comes from Kingston, Ontario and completed her B.Sc in Physiology at McGill University. She took some time to travel and then went on to study Medicine at McGill. She moved to Victoria in 2012 to complete her Family Medicine Residency and she loved it so much she decided to stay. Since graduating, she has worked as a locum in Victoria, the Interior and the Northwest Territories until she decided to join the Grow Team full time and set up a practice. She feels very fortunate she could join such a motivated, friendly, fun and caring team.
When she's not doctoring, she is spending time with her husband, son and Aussie Shepherd Sprocket. Often they can be found off climbing mountains, camping, hiking, biking or taking the dog for swims in the ocean. She also loves gardening and playing ultimate frisbee. Frisbee helps to hone her baby catching skills ;)
