Dr. Zoya Thawer Pediatric Endocrinologist
Dr. Zoya Thawer is a pediatric endocrinologist. She is originally from Vancouver and completed medical school at McMaster's Niagara Regional Campus, pediatrics residency at Queen's University and fellowship in Endocrinology and Metabolism at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario in Ottawa. In the last two years, she has completed pediatric endocrinology locum positions at the Alberta Children's and Stollery Children's Hospitals.
Dr. Thawer now works on the island as part of the West Coast Pediatric Endocrinology Group alongside Dr. McCutcheon and Dr. Stock. In addition to her clinics at Grow Health, she has a clinic at Victoria General Hospital and provides outreach to Nanaimo and Campbell River once a month. She also teaches with the University of British Columbia and University of Victoria training the next generation of young physicians.
When not working, Dr. Thawer enjoys doing ceramics, knitting, cooking/baking and running!
